Thanks to kind people who rescue animals, as a result saving a lot of little lives. In this story, we hear about a nice police officer who decided to save a puppy in danger. The puppy was looking for food and stuck his head in a metal fence. If no one had seen him and if no help came, he wouldn’t have made it. The fence could have hurt him badly as he tried to get out. Luckily, someone who could help found him.
Saved from a Death Trap By an Officer
The police got there quickly. One officer went up to the puppy, got down on his knees, and held the puppy’s neck. He moved the puppy back and forth to try to get him out, but it didn’t work at first. The puppy was stuck tight! But the puppy knew the officer was trying to help and happily wagged his tail. Then the officer tried another way and finally got the puppy out!
Freedom at Last
The puppy was so happy to be free, and so were the police officers. They comforted him and then put him in their car. Since it seemed like no one knew who the puppy belonged to, they took him to the Fresno Animal Center. Everyone thinks he’ll find a new, loving home very soon.
